Summary: Damn Jack Sparrow anyway, Will thought. It was all Jack's fault.
Written for: Sirocco

Will Turner never used to think. At least, that's what he had been thinking lately. Damn Jack Sparrow anyway. It was all his fault. Will saves his life and what does he do? He leaves. Will never used to think, at least, not things like that. Will sat there and wondered, "What will happen if he never comes back?"

Will always thought that he loved Elizabeth more than anything else in the world but that morning when Jack almost died he realized something quite different. It wasn't that he didn't love Elizabeth; it was that he loved Jack more.

Well, that was it then. He knew what he had to do. He had to forget Jack and go on with his life here and with Elizabeth. Will had to forget Jack, never think of him again. Close that door and never look back. But when he saw the ocean all he could do was think of Jack.

Will looked to the ocean and decided that he needed to forget everything and move on. That's right, that's what he needed to do: move on. Go away, not see or think of Jack again or make Elizabeth his wife. He knew this was the right thing to do because he would make Elizabeth miserable along with himself. He also knew that things would never go right with Jack, so what else could he do but leave? So Will set about doing just that. He would just pack up and leave and become a different person. He would become ... Will Sparrow. No, not again, not Sparrow. It's Sparrow on the brain. Damn Jack!

"Damn Jack, eh?" came a voice from behind him. Will, not realizing that he had spoken aloud, had been too engrossed in his own thoughts to hear Jack Sparrow enter into his smithy. When Will turned around, there stood Jack Sparrow, grinning, with his arms widespread. Will had no choice but to run into them. Damn Jack, indeed.

Well, Will did plan on leaving. So he might as well leave by a big black pearl.
